Tilt Renewables bags environmental approval for Waddi Wind Farm

This has the capacity to power 68,000 homes.

Tilt Renewables has secured federal environmental approval for the 108 megawatt Waddi Wind Farm project in Western Australia.

The project, located 150 kilometre north of Perth, will deliver enough energy to power up to 68,000 homes and help prevent around 286,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide being released each year.

“This is a significant milestone for Tilt Renewables with the Waddi Wind Farm becoming our first project in Western Australia,” Tilt Renewables CEO Anthony Fowler said.

With a construction cost of over $400m, there will be great opportunities for businesses from the local area and the surrounding region to get involved in delivering the project, the company said.
