Vena Energy’s 31.65 MW Maibara solar project commences commercial operations

This will power over 8,000 homes.

Vena Energy has commenced commercial operation for its 31.65 megawatt Maibara Solar Project, located in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture in Japan.

In a statement, Vena Energy said the project, built on a former industrial site, is projected to energise approximately 8,560 Japanese households annually, avoiding approximately 18,600 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per annum.

The Maibara Solar Project has signed a corporate power purchase agreement with Mitsubishi Corporation Clean Energy in February 2024.
