French group checks out Vietnamese power market

A group of eight French businesses will visit Vietnam to learn more about the power market in the country.

According to the French Trade Commission, the French group is scheduled to work with and introduce theirproducts and services to the Electricity of Vietnam Group, PetroVietnam Power Corporation, and Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group fromJune 25 to 29.

They will study Vietnam’s policies, key projects and challenges for foreign investors in power projects.

They will also work on the possibility of cooperation with the General Department of Energy, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Institute of Energy.

97 percent of Vietnam's population of more than 90 million has access to electricity.

Their visit also offers a good chance for businesses from both countries to develop a sustainable partnership in trade, industry and technology.
