India's transmission sector puts up credible show in November

India's transmission sector has shown a credible performance, achieving much more than the targeted stringing of transmission lines, for the month of November, this year.

 

For the period, a net stringing of 1,612 ckm was achieved, as opposed to the target of 66 ckm, thus recording an
achievement of more than 2000 percent.

A total installation of 1,055 MVA were made in the month, compared with the benchmark of 200 MVA, registering an impressive performance.

Cumulatively, up to the month of November, 5,529 ckm of 765kV, 1,13,092 ckm of of 400 kV, 1,37,778 ckm of 220 kV and 9,432 ckm of HVDC lines worth of transmission cables have been laid.

Aggregated statistics for growth of sub-stations show that 4,500 ckm of 765 kV, 1,39,327 ckm of 400 kV and 2,13,453 ckm of 220 kV worth of sub-stations have been installed, thus far.
