S. Korea earmarks $318.8M on renewable energy R&D

The government of South Korea will US$318.8 million into research and development on eco-friendly energy generation.

 

The country intends to expand its sustainable energy infrastructure, officials said.

The money will fund projects that can permit the country to acquire basic technology in eco-friendly energy generation, promote research tie-ups between large conglomerates and smaller businesses, and lay the foundation for commercial development for green power generation, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy said.
