Austria to invest in Pakistan’s power sector

 

Austria will extend cooperation to the hydel power and alternate energy development projects in Pakistan.



Austrian Minister for Economy Reinhold Mitterlehner said that many Austrian companies are already working with Pakistan in the energy sector and new companies will also provide technical assistance to Pakistan through their expertise in manufacturing of hydel power generation equipments.

Pakistan Federal Minister Ashraf said the country is looking for more investments and joint ventures from Austria.

Through this bilateral relation, Pakistan is set to encourage the investors and manufacturers of hydel power plant producers, particularly for Terbela-4th Extension hydel power project.
