BHEL to lessen dependence on sub-contractors

BHEL has started dividing its orders into a number of packages in order to lessen dependence on a single sub-contractor.

A major chunk of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited‘s problems in executing power projects emanates from the sluggish work of its sub-contractors. The company assured the union power ministry that it will take adequate measures to have requisite trained manpower in place.
