Vietnam disseminates law on energy efficiency and conservation

 

Vietnam plans to introduce the contents of the Law on Energy Efficiency and Conservation to relevant units throughout the country.




Over 200 delegates representing leaders of units of the ministries, branches, People’s Committee of provinces, cities, Departments of Industry and Trade, corporations, associations, universities, research institutions, consulting units and energy services, key energy consumers in the North attended the conference disseminating the Law on Energy Efficiency and Conservation.



Conference participants had the opportunity to listen to energy experts, who are members of the drafting committee and editing group of the Law and Decree guiding the implementation of the Law, providing the basic contents of the Law and related contents, such as the implementation of the Law and the construction of legal documents guiding the implementation which ensured the compliance and effectiveness at the units.


 The Law officially takes effect om Jamuary 1, 2011.
