Brookfield Renewable Partners sells Thai solar energy operations for $100m

GPSC has acquired all of Brookfield’s solar interests in Thailand for US$100m.

Brookfield Renewable Partners is divesting itsThailand-based solar energy business in Thailand to PTT Public Company’s power and energy arm Global Power Synergy Public Company (GPSC) for $100m.

With this acquisition, GPSC gained 100% ownership of N.P.S. Star Group Company Limited (NPS), World Exchange Asia Company Limited (WXA), P.P. Solar Company Limited (PPS), and TerraForm Global Operating (Thailand) with a total capacity of 39.5MW.

White & Case LLP is the appointed advisor of the deal, led by Jon Bowden from Singapore and included 10 more partners from Singapore, Hong Kong, New York, and Washington DC, the press release added.
