Yingli Green Energy receives expanded JET certification

All conventional Yingli PV modules now have JET certification.

Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. Ltd, the world's largest photovoltaic manufacturer, said it has expanded the coverage of the JET PVm certification to now include the majority of its multi- and monocrystalline PV modules for the Japanese solar market. Yingli Green Energy markets its products under the brand, Yingli Solar.

The certification is awarded by the Japan Electrical and Environment Technology Laboratories and granted after modules have successfully completed of a set of conformity tests in accordance with the requirements of relevant international standards. Factory inspections of the manufacturing and module quality control systems are also required.

JET PVm Certificates are granted to each model of products after the successful completion of applicable tests based on the IEC/IEC harmonized JIS standards and the factory inspection of the quality management system at the manufacturing location.

Yingli Green Energy Chairman and CEO Liansheng Miao said the company is delighted to see that all of its conventional PV modules have obtained the JET certification, which implies the quality of Yingli Green Energy's products.

He noted that to obtain the JET Certification, Yingli Green Energy's PV modules underwent reliability and safety tests according to JIS/IEC standards. This is the third consecutive year that the company's PV modules obtained the Certification.
