NTPC unit to build 10GW RE parks in Indian state Rajasthan

It is in line with the Group’s goal to achieve 60GW RE capacity by 2032.

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (REL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Rajasthan for the development of a 10-gigawatt ultra mega renewable energy power park in the state.

In a statement, NTPC said the deal supports the group’s target to reach 60GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.

The subsidiary has won 4GW of renewable energy capacity through bidding in less than two years since it started.

It is also developing a 4.75GW capacity of renewable energy parks in Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.

NTPC REL also signed a joint venture agreement with DVC to develop renewable energy parks and projects.
