Masdar, Citaglobal ink MOU for RE development in Malaysia

The projects will be developed in the state of Pahang.

Abu Dhabi’s Masdar signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Citaglobal Berhad to jointly develop renewable energy projects in the Malaysian state of Pahang.

In a statement, Masdar said the renewable energy projects will include solar, battery energy storage system, with, and other technologies.

The partnership will support Malaysia’s target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Masdar said Southeast Asia is a key investment destination for the company as it developed the largest floating solar facility in the region in Indonesia and its partnership with Pertamina Geothermal Energy to venture in the geothermal sector.
