SJVN unit to develop 200 MW solar project

The construction of the project costs around $132.7m. 

SJVN Green Energy Limited won the tariff-based competitive bidding for a 200 megawatts (MW) solar project which will be part of the Khavda Solar Park.

In a disclosure, SJVN said it won the bid conducted by the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) at a tariff of $0.032 (INR2.66) per unit.

The project, which development costs around $132.7m (INR11b), is expected to generate 504 million units of electricity in the first year, and a total of 11,732 million units in 25 years.

GUVNL and the SJVN subsidiary will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement for the project.
