The Tehri Hydro Power Complex has an installed capacity of 2,400 MW.

THDC India Limited has synchronised the first unit of India’s first variable speed pumped storage plant (PSP) with a capacity of 250 megawatts (MW) to the national grid.

In a statement, the company said synchronisation took place on 19 November.

He also said this development positions the project as a key contributor to the country’s transition towards a sustainable and resilient energy future.
