India issues nearly 4 GW of RE tenders in February

Meanwhile, over 500 MW of capacity was allocated to developers.

India issued 3,998 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy tenders in February, according to data from JMK Research & Analytics.

In its latest report, JMK said this includes three central agencies issuing standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) tenders of 1,625 MW. The biggest tender was the MPUVN 1,500 MW solar project.

Meanwhile, a total of about 586 MW of renewable energy capacity was allocated to various developers and manufacturers, the data showed.

SJVN auctioned 1,200 MW ISTS connected FDRE tender, of which 448 MW was allotted to five developers with the lowest tariff quoted as INR 4.82/kWh.
