JinkoSolar to build 120 MW rooftop array in Zhenjiang

Project will cover 1.2m sq m.

JinkoSolar will build the 120 MW PV plant at the Electromechanical Industrial Park in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province within three years. The plant array is designed for commercial and residential rooftop installations in the park. The project is located in the city's economic and technological development zone known as the Zhenjiang New Area. It is budgeted at US$164 million.

JinkoSolar will oversee project declaration, investment, engineering, procurement and construction, and operation and maintenance.

Following completion, the rooftops' owners will be able to self-generate and consume the solar energy and allow for excess power to be sold back to the state grid with the distributed on-grid power tariff. The project will also aid the development of medium and small-sized distributed PV power plants in commercial areas and residential communities of eastern China, and is in line with the Chinese government's policies to develop distributed energy.
