ABB moves to expand business in India

Driven by national expansion of solar energy. Ajay Kawdikar, Vice-President, Country Solar for ABB India, said the growth of solar energy in India has been very high over the past three years. He noted the huge opportunity ahead, and said ABB is poised to leverage that opportunity. ABB is preparing to provide turnkey solutions for its clients in India.. Kawdikar revealed that ABB has cumulative orders of 500 MW and that it is looking for more. ABB this week announced the inauguration of two new facilities to produce power products in India. The new facilities, located in Savli, close to its Vadodara plant, will produce high-voltage switchgear and distribution transformers.
