Adani Power commissions 50MW of wind power in Gujarat
It is implementing 725MW of wind projects in the area.
The renewables unit of Adani Power, Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) commissioned 50MW of wind energy generation capacity based on its 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), an announcement revealed.
This commissioning is part of AGEL’s implementation of 725MW of wind projects in Kutch, Gujarat. In line with this, the company has also changed the evacuation infrastructure for connecting its wind projects.
The evacuation infrastructure connects the plant end pooling sub-station (Ratadia PSS) of the wind projects to the Bhuj Pool Sub Station of PGCIL at 220 KV Level through 59 km double circuit transmission lines,
Ratadia PSS has been partially charged to the extent of 300 MW evacuation capacity, currently, Balance capacity shall be charged, in sync with the planned commissioning schedule of the wind projects over the next 15 months,
“We plan to commission further 225MW wind capacity in the area by H2 2020, for which the evacuation infrastructure is already in place,” AGEL said.
