Koderma thermal plant's ATS completed

The associated transmission system of unit-2 of the Koderma thermal power plant, the 222 CKM long 400kV D/C Koderma-Biharisff line is now complete. The line capacity is enough for both units of the TPP.

However, despite the conclusion of the work at this line, the 500 MW Koderma project is likely to miss its commissioning schedule for 2011-12, owing to the M/C towers having been awarded separately, in March this year.

As a contingency plan, an attempt to connect the Maithon-Gaya line with the Koderma-Gaya line, is being made by-passing a multi-ckt portion from the Maithon-Koderma line.
