Orix plans to build 77 solar power plants

Goal is 300 MW for its solar power plants.

Japanese financial services group Orix Corporation said it is developing 28 plants with a combined output of 143.2 MW, and simultaneously installing 49 rooftop systems with a combined maximum output of 27.2 MW.

These 77 projects have a total output of 170MW capable of supplying electricity to over 50,000 homes. Orix said it aspires to reach 300 MW total capacity output in solar power plants and 100MW capacity in rooftop projects. It leases land and rents rooftops from companies, local governments and other landowners to facilitate solar projects.
