Rajasthan power distributors seek to buy 800MW

Rajasthan's power distributors have invited tenders for 800MW for February and March.

They will purchase 400 MW of power on firm basis each month.

State utilities, captive power plants, distribution licenses, state electricity boards (SEBs) and trading licensees having valid trading licenses from the Appropriate Commissions are qualified to participate in the bidding process.

The selected bidders will have to ensure supply of constant capacity for the entire contracted period with minimum 5 MW capacity from a single source.

Moreover, it will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to supply the electricity up to the delivery point specified by the discoms. Pertinently, the bidder should ensure necessary infrastructure or ground work in this regard while participating in the bid.

The last date for submission of bids is January 18, 2013.
