Work starts on Vietnam wind observation station

The Trung Nam Wind Power began construction of the wind observation station for its wind-power plant in Thuan Bac District.

Located in the central province of Ninh Thuan, the station will collect wind data for use in the plant's design, according to VNS.

The province People's Committee had approved construction of the 200MW plant in Loi Hai and Bac Phong Communes last September.

The plant will cost around US$500 million.
