ACEN JV buys 38 MW wind project from EDF Renewables North America

UPC Power Solutions now has over 170 MW operating renewable energy portfolio.

UPC Power Solutions, a joint venture between ACEN, PivotGen, and UPC Solar & Wind Investments, completed the purchase of the 38 MW Chestnut Flats wind project from EDF Renewables North America.

In a statement, UPC Power Solutions said the purchase of the project located near Altoona, Pennsylvania includes the purchase of lessee interest, whilst EDF REnewables will still provide asset management and operations and maintenance services.

“The addition of this high-quality renewable asset will support our long-term strategy to build a diversified fleet of operating wind projects,” said Tim Rosenzweig, chief executive officer of UPC Power Solutions. “Our investment in Chestnut Flats will create economic opportunity and maintain jobs in the local community.” 

UPC Power Solutions now has over 170 MW of operating renewable power generation across multiple states in the US.
