Alinta Energy taps GenusPlus for Reeves Plains Energy Hub first phase

Stage one can power 300,000 households.

Alinta Energy has named GenusPlus Group its principal contractor for the first stage of the Reeves Plains Energy Hub Battery.

“Early works are underway, procurement is well advanced, and the site is being prepared for the build. We’re also talking to neighbours and the community about what construction will mean for them,” said Alinta Energy Chief Development Officer Andres Maasing.

The site will include 194 battery modules, and also feature 89 inverters.

Stage one of the battery will be able to power the equivalent of around 300,000 South Australian households for up to four hours.

Construction is set to begin in early 2026, with operation expected by 2028.
