Enfinity Global secures 2 GW of connectivity for renewables in India
The combined capacity can power nearly 5 million households.
Enfinity Global has secured connectivity for 2 gigawatts (GW) of utility-scale solar photovoltaic and wind projects across India.
In a statement, the company said the states covered are Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. The combined capacity of the portfolio is projected to energise approximately 4.7 million households and avoid 49 million metric tonnes of carbon annually.
The power generated from these projects is earmarked to cater to government utilities, as well as commercial and industrial (C&I) customers.
Enfinity Global's renewable energy portfolio in India has reached approximately 3.3 GW, with over 1 GW slated to begin construction this year. The portfolio includes 240 megawatts (MW) already operational, 2 GW with secured grid connectivity, and an additional 1 GW of solar, wind, and energy storage projects under development.
The company recently awarded a 300 MW Solar-Wind Hybrid project through SJVN's competitive bidding process in the fourth quarter of 2024.
