
Eurus Energy commences construction of 13.5 MW wind project in South Korea
Operation is expected to begin next year.
soutjh Holdings Corporation said construction activities have started for the 13.5 megawatt (MW) Hajang 5 Wind Power in South Korea.
In a statement, Eurus Energy said the project, being built by its unit Hajang 5 Wind Power Co., Ltd., is its fifth wind farm in South Korea. The wind farm is located in the cities of Taebaek and Samcheok, plateau cities in the southern part of Gangwon-do.
In Taebaek, the group operates the Samsu Wind Power and Gowon Wind Power.
The plant is scheduled to begin commercial operation in November 2026. It is expected to supply electricity to approximately 13,000 average households in South Korea and reduce carbon emissions by around 20,000 tons annually.
