FRV Australia' Lauriston Solar Farm commences operations

It is one of the largest operating solar farms in New Zealand.

Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) Australia has started operating its 63 megawatt-peak Lauriston Solar Farm in New Zealand.

The solar farm, which is in partnership with Genesis Energy, is one of the largest operating in the country.

It is located in Canterbury on a 93-hectare site near Christchurch and features nearly 90,000 solar panels. It can generate up to 100 gigawatt-hours annually which can energise over 13,000 households

The project’s construction was conducted by Beon Energy Solutions and has created approximately 100 jobs.

“Lauriston Solar Farm represents our vision of building a sustainable future through innovative renewable solutions, generating direct social and environmental benefits for local communities and the country,” said FRV Australia CEO Carlo Frigerio.
