
India awards 450,000 MT of green hydrogen projects in Q1
Meanwhile, two “significant” tenders were issued.
Indian authorities have awarded green hydrogen projects with a cumulative capacity of 450,000 metric tonnes per annum to nine companies in the first quarter (Q1) of 2025.
According to JMK Research & Analytics, the projects have a maximum allocated incentive of INR 2238.59 crore and are under the SIGHT Program (Mode – 1 Tranche – II).
There were also two major green hydrogen tenders issued, namely NTPC Renewable Energy and NLC India Limited.
During the quarter, INOX Air Products commissioned its first green hydrogen plant at Asahi India’s Soniyana facility in Chittorgarh, with a total capacity of 190 TPA.
