NTPC adds 25 MW of solar capacity in Gujarat

A solar project commenced commercial operation.

NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced that it has expanded its capacity in Gujarat with the partial commercial operation of its 200 megawatt (MW) solar plant in the state.

In a bourse filing, the company said the Gujarat Energy Development Agency has issued a certificate to its wholly owned subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Limited. This covers 25 MW out of the total capacity of the Gujarat-1 solar project in Sadla, Gujarat.

The first part capacity of 37.5 MW has been commercially operating since December last year. The total capacity declared on commercial operation is 62.5 MW.
