NTPC unit inks deal to develop 2 GW of renewables in Chhattisgarh

This includes floating solar.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL) have signed a memorandum of understanding for development of renewable projects in the state of Chhattisgarh.

In a regulatory filing, the NTPC said 2,000 megawatts of renewable energy projects will be built, including floating solar facilities.

The deal was exchanged between Chief Engineer (CP & BD) CSPGCL, G. K. Gupta and General Manager (Engineering) NGEL, Shri D. Joshi, in the presence of S. K. Katiyar, Managing Director CSPGCL, P. K. Mishra, Regional Executive Director (WR-II) NTPC, and other dignitaries from NGEL, NTPC, and CSPGCL.
