PH issues five new system impact study endorsements in April

These were all new applications.

The Philippine government granted endorsements to five system impact study applications in April.

According to the Department of Energy, all the applications were new and were all renewable energy projects.

SIS endorsements generally mean official approval for a project to undergo a system impact study, a critical step in connecting new energy projects to the national power grid and ensuring the grid's capacity and stability.

The projects that bagged approval last month were PAVI Green Camsur Renewable Energy Inc.’s 50 megawatt (MW) PAVI Green Naga SPPP, Energy Development Corporation’s 30 MW Botong-Rangas Geothermal Project, Amihan Power, Inc.’s 80 MW Presentaclon 3 Wind Power Project, Freya Renewables Inc.’s 160 MW E.B. Magalona Wind Power Project, and JBD Water Power Inc.’s 200 MW Abra-Kalinga Wind Power Project.

Since January, a total of 40 SIS endorsements have been issued, of which 30 are renewable energy projects.
