China power generation tops 4.14T KWH In 2010

National power generation volume rose 13.3 percent year-on-year to 4.141 trillion kilowatt hours in 2010. This was announced by the National Development and Reform Commission at its website.

 



In 2010, thermal power generation totaled 3.33 trillion kilowatt hours, up 11.7 per cent year-on-year; hydropower generation totaled 662.2 billion kilowatt hours, up 18.4 percent year-on-year; nuclear and wind power generated 73.4 billion kilowatt hours and 43 billion kilowatt hours respectively, up 70.3 percent and 73.4 percent from 2009.

The average utilization hours of national power-generating equipment rose 123 hours year-on-year to 4,660 hours in 2010. Average utilization hours for thermal power equipment and hydropower equipment reached 5,031 hours and 3,429 hours respectively.
