Guodian’s wind power projects get approved

The first phases of Penglai Hushan and Zhaoyuan Xiadian wind farms were approved by the Shandong Development and Reform Commission.

The first phase of construction will be commenced by the China Guodian Corporation on September 2010 and will be operational by April 2011, according to yitai.com.

Both  Guodian’s windfarms have installed capacity of 49.5 megawatts and could generate an on-grid electricity volume of 200 million kilowatts per hour annually. The total investment value of the first phase of construction may reach US$148.2 million.

Penglai Hushan wind farm and Zhaoyuan Xiadian wind farm are located in Yantai, Shandong province. The total designated installed capacity of the two wind farms are 99 megawatts and 148.5 megawatts, respectively.
