More controls imposed on China’s PV industry

No more One Size Fits All price policy.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will keep tight rein in photovoltaic manufacturing expansions. Among other measures, it will set the minimum capital proportion of newly-built, reform and expanded photovoltaic manufacturing projects at 20%.

The China Renewable Energy Law submitted on August 26 by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Law Enforcement Inspection Team to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for approval pointed out that the "one size fits all" price policy is unfavorable for the utilization of photovoltaic power generation across China.

The new policy for the photovoltaic industry provides for establishing the “Photovoltaic Green Ecology Cooperative Organization” that includes China Merchants New Energy Group, GD Solar Company, NARI Technology Development Company, Guodian Mengdian New Energy Investment Co., Poly Solar Technologies (Beijing) Co. Ltd and 48th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation
