Canada expansion of China's Longyuan to be commissioned in 2014

However, South Africa expansion likely delayed.

With regard to the overseas expansion of China's Longyuan, it has been announced that its project in Canada with 100MW capacity will be commissioned during 2014.

According to a research note from Nomura, the project in South Africa, however, is likely to see a delay.

Meanwhile, with regard to Longyuan's off-shore wind projects, Nomura noted that despite the confirmation of Longyuan's offshore wind power tariff, this is not particularly attractive.

The report noted an estimated IRR of the offshore wind power project to be at 12 percent (with typical unit capex of CNY14,000-15,000/kW and average utilization of 2,700 hours).
