China WindPower joint ventures with CPIC in wind farms

Century Concord Wind Power Investment Ltd signed an agreement with China Power Investment Baiyinhua to undertake wind farm projects in the country.

Century Concord Wind Power Investment Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China WindPower Group Limited, while CPI Baiyinhua is a subsidiary of China Power Investment Corporation.

Pursuant to the agreement, Century Concord WP and CPI Baiyinhua shall respectively hold 49 percent and 51 percent of the equity in the joint venture.

The Group's strengths include its services in wind power engineering, procurement and construction, manufacturing of wind tower tubes, wind power facilities design and maintenance, and its abundant wind resources reserves. CPI, as a stated-owned enterprise, provides geographical advantages.

The preliminary goal of the joint venture is to undertake wind farm projects in the PRC with installed capacity of 850 MW, and will further develop more wind power projects.
