CPI signs agreement for Jiangxi Pengze Power Plant

CPI has signed the EPC Contract Framework Agreement and Framework Agreement on Material Supply and Bidding Agency for Jiangxi Pengze Nuclear Power Project Phase I.

Jiangxi Pengze Nuclear Power Project is one of the first inland nuclear power projects in China adopting AP1000 technology. It is also China Power Investment Corporation’s first controlled nuclear power project constructed with EPC contract.

Its total installed capacity amounts to 8 million kilowatt, equivalent to the present total electric power production in Jiangxi province.

Last month, the State Environmental Protection Administration and NNSA National Nuclear Safety Administration approved the nuclear plant's environmental impact and site evaluation report.
