Jingdezhen power plant gets 600MW extension

The National Development and Reform Commission approved the 2x600MW extension project of Jiangxi Jingdezhen Power Plant.

This extension project is a key power source project in the 11th Five Year Period of Jiangxi Province, in which the units will be equipped with FGD and SCR equipment simultaneously, and various emission indexes will reach national requirements for environmental protection.

When completed, the project will effectively meet the rapidly increasing power demand in Jiangxi Province and will be of great significance for improving energy efficiency, improving the environment of the 1000-year capital of porcelain, enhancing the grid stability of northeast Jiangxi and promoting the sustainable development of enterprises.

Jiangxi is carrying out the principle of generating electricity with both thermal and hydraulic power. Jingdezhen is one of the thermal power plants that make the province almost self-sufficient in electricity.
