China will give the go-ahead to ten nuclear power projects during its 12th Five-Year Plan, ending 2015.

 A 200KW high-concentration pv power plant featuring Suntrix tracking systems  has been opened by Qingdao HG Solar Energy in China. It is also equipped with modules with Cyrium III-V solar cells.

China Southern Power plans to increase investment in the country's grid networks by almost a third of its previous investment.

CTDC has completed its BIPV project at the Ecological Garden in Xiamen Bay, China using its transparent polycrystalline PV modules. The company claims this is first Chinese ecological transparent module BIPV project.

New PV module assembly plants are being built by Kyocera in the Czech Republic and Tianjin, China.

Power consumption in China totaled 4.19 trillion kilowatt hours in 2010. It represents aan increase of 14.56 percent year-on-year.
