Realforce Power completes 2.5MW rooftop system in China
Realforce Power has completed work on a 2.5MW PV array on the roof of a technology institute in Shandong province.
One of the largest rooftop systems in China, it is expected to cut coal emissions in the province by 1,227 tonnes.
Since the start of 2009, Realforce has steadily built up a solar portfolio across China totalling 50MW. Now the Shandong development is complete, the company has turned its attention to adding the finishing touches to a 30MW system – its largest project to date – and strengthening its presence outside China.
“Since our very first 1MW project in China in early 2009, Realforce Power has completed nearly 50MW projects throughout China and will make our contribution to the environment with more reliable Realforce-made solar products,” Realforce chairman Bufeng Wang said. “Based on the advantages of our reputable cell and module production, we will continue to expand our business in solar power systems up to 1GW during the following five years, not only in China but also in overseas markets like Europe and the United States.”
Helping cater for this burgeoning project pipeline, last month Realforce signed a six-year wafer supply agreement with GCL, worth 4,200MW.
