CPI, Siziwangqi to cooperate in wind projects

CPI North China Branch and Siziwangqi Local Government of Inner Mongolia signed a cooperation agreement on developing wind projects.

The agreement covers a wind farm area of about 591km2, which is to be developed on the principle of "overall planning and staged construction." An installed capacity of 2000MW is planned for Phase I and 4000MW for further phases.

The signing, which was done in Beijing, is required by China Power Investment’s "three-step" strategy and its plan of renewable energy development. It is a major step in CPI's endeavor to utilise and exert its advantages and speed up its deployment and construction of wind power bases in Inner Mongolia. The friendly cooperation is sure to yield mutual benefits and common development for both sides.
