Hero Future Energies invests INR 11,000 crore to develop renewables in Karnataka

Nearly 3,000 jobs will be created.

Hero Future Energies has inked a memorandum of understanding to set aside INR 11,000 crore to develop renewable energy projects in the state of Karnataka in India.

In a statement, Hero Future Energies said the agreement was signed with the Government of Karnataka. The allocation will focus on clean energy, green hydrogen, and its derivatives.

The company said close to 3,000 jobs will be generated through the partnership.

The deal was signed in the presence of M.B. Patil, Hon’ble Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, Govt. of Karnataka; Dr. Selvakumar S, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Commerce and Industries; Smt. Gunjan Krishna, IAS, Commissioner for Industrial Development and Director, Department of Commerce and Industries, Chairman, KUM, Ravindra, Deputy Director, Karnataka Udyoga Mitra (KUM), Narendra, Pvt. Secretary to the Hon'ble Minister, and Ben Fraser, CFO & Co Secy, Hero Future Energies.
